Thoughts……..

I am sitting here at the REV coffee shop. I am working on school stuff and thinking about all that I want to write about. God has really been working in my life in the past three weeks, and I want to somehow share it with you all. We are having revival at our church this week and I know I am going to have even more to share from that. I would love to hear from you guys…..your comments are welcome.   Here are two verses from Psalms 139:23-24 that I have really been holding close to my heart….asking the Lord to show me his ways and not my own.

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! ~ Ps. 139:23-24

Psalms 86.

I have been reading this chapter some this week and really letting it get into my heart and mind.  It really hits home right now with a lot of things in my life. May we all be preaying and asking God to teach us his ways.

Psalms 86:1-17

Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.   Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.  In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.  All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.  For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.  Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.  I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.  O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

Lord, I Need You

I love the words to this song. Oh how we need the Lord at all times. I know the Lord reminds me of that a lot. =) I do now know where I would be without Him. He is my strength day by day. what a wonderful God He is.

Sometimes when life seems gentle and blessing flood my way, I turn my gaze away from you and soon forget to pray. But when the sky grows darker and courage turns to fear, my anxious voice cries upward with words you long to hear,

 

Lord, Help me to remember I’m weak but you are strong. I cannot sing apart from you, for Lord, You are my song. Although I’m prone to wander and boast in all I do; Lord, keep my eyes turned upward so I depend on you.

 

Lord, I need you when the sea of life is calm. O Lord, I need you when the wind is blowing strong. Whether trials come or cease, keep me always on my knees. Lord, I need you. Lord, I need you.
