Psalms 86.

I have been reading this chapter some this week and really letting it get into my heart and mind.  It really hits home right now with a lot of things in my life. May we all be preaying and asking God to teach us his ways.

Psalms 86:1-17

Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.   Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily. Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.  In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me. Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.  All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.  For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.  Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.  I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.  O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid. Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

A way to think about life….

Something to think about. My Pastor the other day was talking about life and how we only see one thing at a time, but God can see all of it from start to end. He gave a great way to look at it. He said that it is kind of like a parade…….When you go to a parade you want to be right up in the front so you can see all that is going on. The only thing is that you can only see what is going on right then and there. In the end it would be much better to be up higher so you would be able to see all that is going on at the same time. This is kind of like us and God. We are going through life and we only see one thing at a time and start to worry or ask what is going to happen. God on the other hand is watching from up top and he has it all in his hands. He can see where it started, to where we are right now. But the best part is that he can see what is coming next and the end. I just thought this was a pretty cool way to look at it life.

Just an encouraging word….

The other day I was thinking about life and wondering about a lot…and God led me to the book of Philippians. I started reading in Phil. 1:6 and it has been a verse that I have read many times, but it really was an encouragement to me at the time. Hope it will be a blessing to you as well.

  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Phil. 1:6

“True Love”

So, I was thinking the other day about the Love that Christ has for us. A love that will never leave us, and is always there for us. What a loving and faithful God we have. I wanted to post the words to this song ” O Love that wilt not let me go”….I love this song. I hope this brings a smile to you hart like it did mine today. God Bless!

A thought for today.

Today, I was thinking about God’s grace and what he has already given us in him. I could not help but think of the verse in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

I know this is something we all know, but just wanted to post it. It was just a good reminder to me that God’s grace is sufficient in all times in our lives. No matter what we may be going through or feeling God is always right there to take us through. Also, its when we are at our end and have nothing more to give that Christ comes throught and shows his power. For when we are weak, then he is strong. Hope this is an encouragement to you. May we all look to God’s grace that is all and the only thing that will get us through.

God never moves without purpose or plan……

Hello!!! Thought I would post something on here…..Its been a long time, and really I have had a lot to say, but did not know how to put it to words.

I just want to kind of share from my heart tonight. Maybe it will encourage someone. Well, I have had a lot going on in my life this year. God is teaching me to wait, be still and know that He is God. That nothing is going to happen without it being his purpose or plan. I like the saying that God does not have a plan B. As I think, I have a lot of questions and more times then I would like to say I find myself “trying” to help God out in some way. But then God in his loving way always shows me that its all him. I can do nothing without him anyway. Something else I have been learning is when testing and hard times come, and I really do not understand….how am I going to deal with it? Its easy to just get down about it and think that God is not seeing it. But, What God has been showing and teaching me is that when times like this come that I need to rejoice and know that God has it all in his hand. I may not see it, I may not feel it, but He is always working. Then I can rest, and be happy in whatever ends up. God say in his word that through hard times more fruit we will bear. He also says that His ways are not our ways. Well, I know that I kind of jumped all over the place……hehe…..hope you were somewhat able to understand. Please pray that I will keep looking to God in all this and wait on Gods will and ways.

Give me your thoughts on the verses……..One thing that I have been thinking on this the part were is say “That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge.”

I just thought that was really cool.
